Project of the Day:
I wanted to send out some lovely holiday cards to family and friends- but didn't want to go in the direction of  photo cards since it would just be Michael and me....boring, right? Yeah, I know, that's why I didn't make them! I had a ridiculous amount of paint chips (as always) at home so I decided to use them to make some super cheap cards. I saw these little wreaths and thought they were a good way to send holiday cheer without being overly red and green Christmas tacky :

(source HERE

I grabbed my paint chips, a glue stick, some plain white stationary and a scissors and started snipping...
Once I had all my little circles I started randomly gluing them as I went in a circle on the card, mixing in small and large circles of the red, green, grey, yellow, and brown shades I chose.

 A little ribbon and...

After I had finished a couple paint chip wreaths I busted out the dear old sequins and made one super sparkly wreath. Gaudy? Yes. Tacky? Maybe. Completely Awesome? You know it!

I decided I wanted more than just wreaths, so I took some paint chips with green shades and cut different sized triangles out of each...
...leaving me with shades of green trees!

A little sequin on top of each and this is what I got:

For friends and family who don't celebrate Christmas (or any other holiday, for that matter) I made some simple snowflake cards out of -youguessedit- paint chips! The others in this picture are just solid color ribbon glued together in rows- simple, clean, lovely.

How are you doing your holiday cards this year?

  6. Those are really cute. I wussed out again this year and did a cheesy post about "look how crappy the pictures of my kids were so I didn't send anyone a card". It's sadly the second year I've done that. Hmm, maybe I'll let it be my thing. :)

    1. hey- i have to say- i think the christmas cards that have REAL pictures on them- like people actually laughing or kids not staying still are so cute and much better than the staged ones- next year you just might have to send out those pictures and say "happy holidays, from our real family, with love"

  9. These are cute but where I live I would not want to get caught gathering the paint chips ~grin~ They do not like that so much. FYI not that I am innocent of this. Used them as embossing folder samples......not my idea.....but works great

  10. Love the ideas here! I have a paint chip 'book' that I can use. Does anyone have an idea for using the fronts of Christmas cards from past years and turning them into handmade cards for this year?

    1. I've used past Christmas Cards before in where I trim them down as much as possible, and then mount them on colored cardstock (and fold that in half). Nice way to reuse!

  13. I’m personally more fond of Teldrassil, since I have more Night Elf characters than dwarf characters. There are some fun questlines.Of course, players like different expansions. Many old players will choose to stay in the World of Warcraft classic. Players will encounter more or less powerless things during the game of the World of Warcraft classic, such as with players or bosses. When fighting. In this case, you should buy WOW Classic Gold in MMOWTS. Having a good gear can make you stronger and more comfortable. On MMOWTS, you will not only find the Cheap WOW Classic Gold you want, here you can get a fair price while enjoying thoughtful service. In this way, you can use very little money to get the gear you want, and the game experience will rise to a higher level.
